My Words

September 8, 2020

My words are not for you. Don’t ask for my flowery language, the flow of my loving musings and peaceful existence of air that I conjure. You don’t deserve them if you won’t listen to my pleas for compassion. How dare you think you are entitled to feel the embrace of the way I care when I beg for you to stop using your tongue simply to spew venom. When, at your behest, I strung together my words for you, they were lies. They came not from my truest feelings but rather from my most desperate hopes. Perhaps you would see the beauty that I was capable of and appreciate me. But instead you took the undeserved credit of being the inspiration for the words. When you should have taken my words as inspiration.

Kris- your writings are meaningful and moving. Your descriptions of your daily challenges and how you meet them is remarkable. Your kids are lucky to have you, and you are blessed with them, your love for them comes through, blue lips and all. Yes hang in, keep writing, when you & they are older, you will treasure and laugh at these days.
